andia Lake Natural Park (20 Km away)
In addition to the lake, the park hosts other wetlands of natural value: the Palude, swamps, are special protected areas with 400 species of plants and a remarkable avifauna which finds the environment suitable for a migratory stop. The Palude is located north of the water mirror and the Paludetta. Until the beginning of the 20th Century, people lived mainly on fishing, yet another important activity linked to the wetlands was the production of wickers starting from the reeds that grew abundant. Today, the park has become a destination for birdwatchers, fishermen (pikes have recently been reintroduced) and rowers.
